Latest Health Update

The Cardiologist said I have "the heart of an athelete."

So today, I visited an ENT. He did some maneuver positioning on me incase it was "ear crystals" but really feels we should do further testing. So next week I go back for two test--one is the a Electronystagmogram (ENG) testing. It doesn't sound like fun . He basically said "if you don't like roller coasters, you won't like this test!" Oh great. (He also warned me not to look it up on the 'net, so please don't tell me if you know anything about this, ha!)

Sounds like a ball, right!? NOPE!

Echocardigram Results

I had an echo this morning at 7:15am. The tech said my heart -- including blood flow and valves - look good. However, I still have to go back for a stress test on the treadmill at 1:45pm today.

BUT while getting the echo, when told to lay on my left side, the room starting spinning and I got another dizzy spell. The nurse took my blood pressure and it was pretty good (maybe a little high for ME) at 120/70. She strongly suspects I have an inner ear problem and suggested I see a ENT soon. So I have a call into my primary care doctor to get a referral to the ENT.

Hopefully we can start narrowing things down to find an answer!

Visit to Cardiologist

No news. My appointment was at 11:00am. We finally got into a room around 12:30pm where the nurse took my blood pressure while sitting, laying down, and standing. The doctor came and asked me questions and listened to my heart. He does detect a slight murmur.

They attached a "holter" device to me which I need to wear for 24-hours. I go back next week three times: once for an echo test, then for a stress test and last for a doctor visit.

So, we're just in a holding pattern for now. THANK YOU ALL for the great comments and prayers! I appreciate it more than you know.

O'hana Character Breakfast

This morning, hubby and I brought the kids to the O'Hana Character Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at Disney World's Polynesian Resort. They start out by bringing fresh breads (made with pineapple, coconut, and raisins)...followed by fresh fruit...mickey mouse waffles...and then a huge breakfast platter for all (family style).

My Recent Ebay sales

You all know that I have a love-hate relationship with Ebay. I love to buy but selling sometimes throws me. This time I had a "hate" experience.

I sold 7 clothing items, and collected a total of $133 ($99 for the items and $34 in S&H fees).

I went to the post office, and nailed the shipping fees; it did cost $34 to ship my 7 items.

BUT, I didn't account for the $12 ebay fees and $6 paypal fees.

So in the end, I pocketed $80.

Basically, 40% of the money I collected went to Ebay, PayPal and the Post Office.

It's getting too expensive to sell on Ebay. Do you agree?

Hair Tip

Here's a new hair type from my stylist. Once a month, add some baking soda in your hand with your shampoo. Shampoo well, rinse, and then condition. The baking soda will remove hair spray and product built up. She stressed to condition afterwards (with your regularly conditioner) because baking soda may dry out your hair if you don't. What a great tip!)

I called the Preschool

Princess Mimi's preschool teacher said at the end of the day, Mimi & Sunny (not Bella) were cutting paper, and when she went to pick up the paper, noticed hair on the floor but she wasn't sure which one had cut their hair. She said she was talking to a parent at the door and didn't realize they had gotten carried away with the scissors but will supervise the cutting activities better next time.

Princess has a hair appointment on Friday at 9:30am to get the new bangs "blended in"...I hope we don't have to cut full bangs but may have to.

She is a little remorseful this morning as she didn't want to show the babysitter what she had done. The bangs are so short that I can't pull them back in a bow, lovely.

Thank god she has a cute smile...
She's three - it was bound to happen! Princess Mimi came home from school today with "bangs". I am not a happy mama right now. (I know it could be worse, but at the same time, this will take forever to grow out!) And no note from the teacher either, I discovered this on my own! I have an appointment on Friday morning to get them fixed/blended in!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday! Unforatunely, my parents live three states away so we don't see them often. But she is a great Granny and the kids to talk to her on the phone every single day. We love you Granny! Have a great birthday!

Friday Favorites

A few things I have been loving this week:
I ran out of Diet Coke this week and realized how much I love this stuff.
(I only drink two per day so I am not a total addict!)

My new bow-tie shirt (JCP)--only $7 with my $10-off coupon!

Gardening (which I normally hate)--but this week hubby asked me to pick out some new plants for the flowerbed in the backyard, and I have actually enjoyed it.

Unfortunately , May is a horrible month for me due to pollen allergies so I am popping lots of Benadryl.

What are some of your favorites this week?

What are your plans for Mother's Day?

Hubby keeps asking what I want to do this weekend, and I really don't know. Quiet time would be nice or the spa, but I doubt if I get either (ha). We talked about breakfast with the kids. What are you doing this Mother's Day? I'd love to hear!

My Ebay Listings

Ladies: I have listed some great items on Ebay this evening.
Sizes 6-8-10-12.
Pant suits, dresses, and more.
Thanks for looking!

Consignment? Nope--EBAY!

So I realized nothing in my closet fits. Many of you long-time followers know that in the past year I have dropped from a size 10 to a size 6.

Over the weekend, I pulled tons of stuff (I mean nice stuff--dresses, suits, etc) out of my closet with plans to resell at a local consignment store. I have had several friends recommend this route to me.

What an ordeal! They only wanted 2 of my 10 outfits, and then only offered me $9 cash. (My Tahari suit from Macy's had small shoulder pads--no good!--WTF!? It was a $200 suit purchased 2 or 3 years ago.) Anyhow, I am going to give another try. Wish me luck!

My ebay items:

Come visit us in Central Florida!

Most of you know I live in the Central Florida area. I have been here 13 years and love it. My friends and family visit often and I always get asked the same questions...

When do you think is the best time to escape to Kissimmee, FL?
Who would you bring with you to Kissimmee, FL and why?
What are your top 4 places or things to see while in Kissimmee?
Where would you most like to stay and why?

I'll tell you my answers!

I think the best time to come is in the fall or spring (October, November, March and April are ideal). Always bring your swimsuit and sunscreen...a variety of clothing options (from casual to cocktail). You never know where you will end up so have many clothing options! My favorites things to do in Kissimmee are: Dining at Kenzie's, playing golf at Mystic Dunes Golf Club, shopping at the outlet malls, and spring training baseball games. There are many lodging options, from high end to motel-style, but my suggestion is to find a rental home!

So now that I have dreamed up your perfect Kissimmee vacation, why not live it? Thankfully you now have a chance to experience your dream vacation because Kissimmee is giving away three (3) weekend getaways (3 days/2 nights) for two (2); and two (2) week-long vacations for four (4). Drawings will be held on

So visit Kissimmee this year! You won't be disappointed

Prom Queen tag

I have been tagged by Beth for this award.

Here are the rules...

1. Upload your prom picture. If you don't have one, email your mom and have her send it to you.

2. Don't forget to include the year it was taken. Again, don't be shy. The older the better.

3. Grab the "Prom Queen" button on my sidebar and add to your post.

4. Copy and Paste the rules to your blog

5. Tag 5 others!

So here's the deal...I HATED PROM and threw out most of photos, SORRY!! I had just broken up with this guy I dated for two years in high school. I really didn't want to go to prom with him, but did anyway. We fought, and he left me at the dance. (funny thing, is that it took me an hour to realize he was gone, ha!)

But I still wanted to play so have tagged five friends to keep this going! I hope they have a prom photo to share. I pick: Mel, Farmer's Wife, Belle's Mom, Allyson, and Julie.

I know some of you are on Twitter, but if I am missing anyone, please let me know! I can be found at My username is @wpmomof2. I am private right now so request friendship. Thanks!
