Football Food (Drinks!)

I love drinking cold beer during a football game, but even better is Southern Living's Beer 'Garitas!

Yield: Makes 4 servings

Ingredients
1 cup frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1 cup tequila
1/2 cup orange liqueur
Crushed ice
1/2 to 1 cup cold beer

Preparation
1.Stir together first 3 ingredients until well blended. Fill 4 medium glasses with crushed ice. Pour limeade mixture evenly into glasses. Add beer to taste.

Football Food (Appetizers)

College football starts next weekend! I am so excited. I am a huge LSU Tiger fan and watch many of the SEC games each Saturday. My hubby is a FSU Seminole fan and likes to watch the ACC games. Fortunately, we have many televisions in our home!

Saturday in my home is not complete without the proper snacks. Here are a few of my favorite snack foods...I hope you try one of them!

I can hardly stand it anymore. I am so ready for football season to start. I love love love watching college football each Saturday. I am a huge LSU Tiger fan and watch many of the SEC games! I have new outfits for the kids and beer is stocked (hehe). Only four more weeks to go!

Explaining the word "Dead"

My almost-4-year-old, Princess Mimi, has begun using the word "dead" or "die". I am not sure where she picked it up but none the less, I now have to explain it to her.

Being she is still young, I first explained, "When you die, you go to Heaven."

Then she asked, "But how do you die?" I further said, "When your battery goes out you die."

To which she replied, "Is my heart my battery?" Pretty smart for a toddler!

Someone suggested that I explain that when you die, you no longer hear or see or feel things so that she doesn't herself want to die or think death is a good thing.
